thanks for the answer pate... thats all i was wonderin.... didnt know how yall did it... thanks... and whoever that was sayin go rent whatever just a suggestion i wouldnt talk to "your" customers like that cause if you got one team not coming cause you got in an arguement and its on a forum like this it could also cost you more than one team... all im sayin is the customer is always right... ( just my opinion)

300 is not that great when you figure in how much teams pay for paint and entry, plus most of the teams come from out of town so then you figure in gas.
secondly, 3mans are universally $120, have been since i started playin and still are, except for the places who come out of nowhere and think they can just jump into giving paintball tournies and be good at it.
the bottom line is pate said it right, they want as much as they can get for as little as possible. their main concern is them not the players. at least he'll admit it. some of those guys wont. some of em say "anything to keep a player on the field" which is actually a quote they stole from another field. one word comes to mind. HYPOCRITE. thanks pate for being honest

I think it's silly to complain about the pay outs, if you don't like the prizes don't pay the fee don't play. My team will be driving 5 hours from Hattiesburg, MS to play in this event and if we can walk away with a couple backpacks and some t-shirts that's more than we came with and that's fine with us. For me this tourney will be more about getting some tourney experience so our team can compete in other tourneys with larger payouts later. Not to mention $30 bucks a person for your team is only $5 to $10 more than most fields charge in field fees for you to play on a regular sunday afternoon, and you don't generally get a prize for beating everyone out on the field on a regular sunday no do you?

wow u tottaly turned what i wass saying around.
also i would venture to say that no one there has said "anything to keep a player on the field" we arent interested in taking others saying those we do try to emphasize the general idea's and principle associate with customer service.
obviously, by the way you interprited my words you arent familiar with economic theory mainly capitolism. i gather this because as most markets, other than those federaly controlled, are driven by the consumer. So when a person speaks on capitolism and they say "people are interested in getting as much for as little as they can" they are talking about the consumer. although the basis of capitolism is much more encompassing. for instance in your statement you were makeing a true statement. in capitolist economy the seller wants as much money he can get for as little product as possible. however, a seller can set a price on a good it is done by the consumer. for instance if mcdonalds sold 30 dollar burgers you would just simply stop shopping there. the same is true with any buissness. so for you to make a statement like " their main concern isnt the player" because they are attempting to make money is completely and totally unmerited. Thats what people who are in buissness do, make money (or atleast attempt). do i have to say it again you dont make alot of money off of tournements. Painter i would urge you to wikipeidia the theories of consumerism and capitolism they will explain what i meant.
various examples of how H.S. promotes customer service to the player. this can be seen all around. we keep the paint in its own seperate room that has heating and cooling seperate from the rest of the facility so the players have
balls that are decent. we clean the field all during the day. I cant count the amount of times that someones gun goes down and i go get mine out of my car and give it to them (and not just to people im friends with but who ever.) to say we dont care about the player is total CRAP and you have no idea what you are talking about. i was responding to your posts but because you made arguable claims however becuase you have made such rediculous and unmerited claims im not going to any more.
its also good to hear about people coming to the event that doesnt care about the prizes. it makes it fun. i used to care about prizes then i realized paintball is my hobby if i win an event and loose 10 bucks its aight i had a good time doing it.
also they didnt jump into paintball most of us have had 3-5 years exp in paintball and some of us have been reffing tournements for that long they didnt jump in. maybe you should take your negative attitude somewhere it could be useful. they are putting on excellent events i wish i could play some.

OK guys this the " April 21st 3-Man Official info" thread. Lets keep the "FLAMING" on pbnation please.
Short answers to a few questions:
jdavis- but it says 75 percent payout but capped at 900 why is that...
This is the same structure we used for the 5-man in March, changed for the 07 season. The highest payout in advanced last season was $910.
pbstud08- is somebody going to do a check on teams playing in correct divisions?
Yes, we know most of the players and have built an Excel team/player data-base to track everyone in. Some discretion is left to the players to police themselves. I did question a players classification last season and he moved up.
IcEpHrEaQ- Do we just pay our fees the day of the event?
To guarantee your spot in the tourney we ask that you pay in advance. If we max-out then the paid teams will have priority.
Thanks for your interest! Hope to see U on the 21st.
