Thats another B&T club race weekend. You guys don't choose your dates with other club races in mind very well.

It is almost impossible to plan a race that is not on somebody else's race day. I am sure Danny nor Phil with the Onion Patch Raceway wants to mess up any other tracks race, but being that the Onion Patch is a 4 hour ride from Ft. Walton Beach I would bet there is not to many if any that go there on a regular basis. There are alot of other tracks that are close (less than 1-2 hours away) to them that they are trying to work around on the scheduling.
One other comment: I for one love this hobby and yes I know for me it is a HOBBY, BUT whenever you have a chance to actually try to win some $$$$$ it does per sway some to go and race there. Especially when the entry fee is only a few dollars more than the typical entry free.
I hope I did not step on anyone's toes.

But thats the problem, when you throw cash out there, that attracts people who would normally run the local club races. Thats why local club races a getting smaller and smaller and soon could probably disappear in the long run.

So, let me see if I've got this right. If B&T were to throw a money race, then you guys would come back down to race with us. If we put money on our scheduled race on the 12th, you guys would opt to come see us rather that OP? I was wondering why our attendance has dropped off so badly. We'll see if we can't spice it up a bit to draw everyone back to race at B&T. Tim has thrown the idea around a bit, but he has a problem with charging 20, 30, 35 dollars to race, but if that is what it takes to get people coming back to B&T then that is what we need to do. What do you guys think of that idea?

Danny tries to coordinate schedules with The Snake Pit and HotShots because several of the guys that call those tracks "home" have come to race at the 'Patch. I know he is constantly looking at schedules and trying and find an open weekend. I put together a list that shows the "big" races in Georgia and some of the other area series I've heard about. Let me know the schedule for your club races and/or big events, and I will be glad to add them. Like Danny said, there are a lot of tracks in the area, and it's inevitable that two or more will be racing on the same weekend. Danny tries to pick his dates early, and l try to get the word out to all the message forums so people can make plans acordingly. We appreciate all the racers that have supported us, and want to continue to offer you good racing in a family atmosphere. Hope to see you at the track! Here's the schedule: www.philbone.com/2008_Race_Schedule_with_URLs.htm
