As asked for this is the thread for posting your advice to us as an establishment. Comments about the way races are run, facility, etc.
This is not the place for questions about cars or equipment. Please fill free to start another thread for those. To keep things clean those types of post will be deleted from this tread to help keep it focused.
Thanks ;D HotShots

I WOULD LIKE THERE TO BE AN UNDERSTANDING THAT WHEN YOU HAVE A FLAME OUT AND YOU ARE RESTARTED YOUR PIT MAN IS NOT TO THROW YOU ON THE TRACK BEHIND THE LOOP IN ORDER FOR YOU TO GAIN YOUR LAP BACK IF YOU FEEL YOU NEED TO DO THIS YOU SHOULD TAKE A 1 LAP PENALTY

I WOULD LIKE THERE TO BE AN UNDERSTANDING THAT WHEN YOU HAVE A FLAME OUT AND YOU ARE RESTARTED YOUR PIT MAN IS NOT TO THROW YOU ON THE TRACK BEHIND THE LOOP IN ORDER FOR YOU TO GAIN YOUR LAP BACK IF YOU FEEL YOU NEED TO DO THIS YOU SHOULD TAKE A 1 LAP PENALTY I don't know how I feel about that. If you flame out, by the time you get restarted why cant you get credit for the lap. If you were already over halfway around the track by the time you get restarted you would have long passed that lap and maybe another lap. Whats wrong with getting credit on a flame out lap. You have already fell way behind by the time you get back on the track. It sucks if you flame out on the big jump and after restarting you have to run that whole lap again to get credit. That doesn't sound fare. I will do whatever the rules are. I'm just posing a different angle on the situation.

SO IF YOU FLAME OUT 15 TIMES IN A RACE YOU THINK YOU SHOULD HAVE CREDIT FOR 15 LAPS? THIS WOULD BE PENALIZING EVERBODY IN YOUR CLASS BECAUSE YOUR MOTOR WILL NOT RUN

Rule of thumb has always been, where you flame out at is exactly where you get put back on at! No questions asked.

That is just asking to mess up someone else if you get hit getting your car back to the middle of the track. I know at the Battle you must restart on pit lane.

ALSO ON THE START OF A QUALIFER YOU GO IN ORDER NOT ALL AT ONCE KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU ARE NOT RACING EACH OTHER YOU ARE RACING THE CLOCK

Good point Tim. That's the reason I would like to see the start of the qualifiers slowed down from go,go,go to go...go...go... so dirivers are spaced apart a little. This way they're not all bunched up and more proned to racing and wrecking eachother. If you space them out a little, the drivers will be able to relax a little and focus on what qualifying is all about. Running against the clock and turning your best possible lap times.

The Florida State Offroad Series requires you to re-join the race from the pits in the event of a flame out. I think the RC Pro Series is the same way. Also, the timing loop must be placed before pit lane which is how Dothan is setup.

I believe the go, go, go start will be changed. It is really easy to change the delay between each "go". It was set at one second last weekend, and you can change it in increments of a second.

Well one of the problems with starting in pit lane is, say you flame out on the turn just before the front straight. Now you have to get started back up, set on pit lane then redo your entire lap. So there has to be some happy medium on this subjct. Also there's a chance someone starting a car up and running over to pit lane could run over the lap wire and still end up counting a lap. It would have to be shielded really good.

I think we need to enforce our registration cut off a little better too so that the racing can get started on time. It's usually an hour before racing starts at most tracks.
